Dr.G.Vennila was born in Namakkal, India in 1967. She graduated in Civil Engineering in 1988 and completed M.E. with the specialization of Environmental Engineering in 1994 from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. She obtained Ph.D degree from Anna University, Chennai in 2008. She has 21 years of teaching experience and 6 years of Industrial experience to her credit. Now she is the Professor and Head, Department of Civil Engineering, K.S.Rangasamy College of Technology, Tiruchengode, Tamil Nadu, India. She is one of the recognized supervisors for guiding Ph.D scholars under Anna University, Chennai. She has published more than 32 research publications in different fields like Inverse Mass balance Modelling, Morphometric Analysis, Ground water Quality Modeling, Ground water potential identification, PET fibers in Concrete etc. Under her research guidance, 6 research scholars have completed Ph.D., and 6 research scholars are currently pursuing Ph.D. She has been awarded the “Best Woman Engineer Award” from the Institution of Engineers (Salem Centre), India. At present she is acting as a Mentor for two projects under National Post Doctoral Fellowship in DST – SERB and she is the Principal Investigator for MODROBS. She has visited a few foreign countries. She has delivered more than 15 guest lectures in various Institutions. She holds Life membership in various societies like Institution of Engineers, ISTE, Indian Science Congress and Indian Society of Systems for Science and Engineering.
