Dr.M.Ilangkumaran is a Professor and Head of the Mechatronics Engineering Department. He obtained Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai. He received M.E in Industrial Engineering from Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore, B.E Mechanical Engineering from Madras University, Chennai.
He has a rich teaching experience of 16 years and worked in various teaching positions in K S Rangasamy College of Technology. He has published 53 International Journals and 15 Conferences and also a reviewer of several top-tier academic journals including science Elsevier, Taylor and Francis and Inderscience. He has 696 citation of articles, h-index 13 and i10-index 18 Since 2013
Dr. Ilangkumaran is a life member of ISTE. His research interests include Multi Criteria Decision Making in Engineering Applications and Maintenance Management. He has conducted several conferences and seminars in association with various funding agencies, the Department of Science& Technology, Indian Council of Medical Research and Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India, New Delhi.
He has extensive experience in MCDM applications. He supervised and mentored undergraduate, post graduateand Ph.D students. He has guided 4 Ph.D students and 6 are pursuing in various domain with the application of MCDM
